Analogue CCTV Solution
Analogue CCTV cameras capture analogue video signal and transfer that signal over coax cable to the Digital Video Recorder (DVR)
The DVR converts the analogue signal to digital, compresses it, and then stores it on a hard drive for later retrieval.
Intelligence is built into the DVR to handle such things as scheduling, motion detection, and digital zoom.
Analogue CCTV system now comes in two different technologies which are:
- Analogues system with TVLines resolution technology, and
- AHD system with Megapixels resolution technology.
IP CCTV Solution
Network/IP camera captures an analogue image but immediately converts it to digital signal inside the camera and transfer that signal over cat5/cat6 cable to the Network Video Recorder (NVR)
The NVR also compresses the digital signal, and then record it on a hard drive for later retrieval.
It also does scheduling, motion detection, and digital zoom like that of NVR.
IP CCTV system only uses one resolution technology which is in Megapixels.
